The design shows are important for 2JANE: From the ICFF in NYC to 100% Design in London to Maison & Objets in Paris, these exhibitions serve as gateways for meeting and greeting other active members of our global field. So it’s a little odd that for the 1st time in 5 years 2JANE will not be attending the ICFF…
Of course we’re still available to answer questions and show off our lighting and homewares products to all attendees, including the wonderful designers, magazine editors, and buyers we see every year… We’re just taking a break from heading to NYC and setting up yet another show. Don’t get me wrong, we know how to enjoy ourselves (see below) we just have other things on our agenda…

Here's 2JANE's Beth Ferguson adding final fixes the booth. She just can't keep her hands off the Kapow!
Ironically, last year we were bold enough to take 2 spaces and found it completely worthwhile. In fact, one of the spaces we manned only part of the time and found that the response to this booth was probably our strongest ever. Employing an added air of mystery by making ourselves unavailable at a show that’s overrun with overzealous sales types was a wholly useful experiment in reverse psychology! Simply put: We weren’t there and we were wildly popular. Luckily the press followed up like mad to see just what the ‘non’ fuss was about… And thanks to them I think you’re all familiar with the Tile Tats!
Perhaps this year not being there at all will create enough stir to warrant a dedicated 2JANE book, but I’m not counting on it. No, the truth is that other than not connecting with so many dear friends I probably won’t miss the show too much, as Beth and I will be kicking our heels up that weekend down here in Florida as we enjoy her nuptials. It will be a very big weekend for 2JANE, despite our absence at the show. Sometimes personal trumps professional and I’m all for it!
