Mibo Tile Tattoo Redo

Today I’m featuring the thoughtful Mibo Tile Tattoo DIY project by a kind customer who sent in her before/after shots of her Oregon home.

Ms. Martin chose one of my favorite designs—black Loverstone—for a bathroom pick-me up. And green Ventor was her choice for the kitchen. As she demonstrates, a few tats go a long way so it’s even simpler than you may think to enhance the look of your tilework.

And with the addition of black Loverstone Tile Tattoos, Ms. Martin begins the bathroom begins it's transformation.

The tub is quite nice, especially with the fire place to warm whatever the water doesn't.

The Tile Tattoos create an entirely new atmosphere, giving the all-white tub just a little tasteful pop of surface design.

Ms. Martin chose the cheery green ventor pattern to lighten the look of her otherwise neutral kitchen.

Tropical Wedding Expands Orbix Hot Glass Family

Congratulations to my dear friend of 15 years, Miss Wendy Wood, now Mrs. Wendy Wood Derrer. She was married June 13 in Islamorada, Florida. The Keys ceremony was an exceptionally gorgeous tropical affair complete with sunset nuptials, orchid-topped tables, and enough mojitos to sink a local cruise ship…

As personal as this day was, it also held great professional significance as Wendy is the sister-in-law of Cal Breed—2JANE’s favorite glass designer. The Orbix Hot Glass father contributed a beautiful reading, his lovely wife, Christy, Wendy’s sister, served as matron of honor, but it was their gorgeous daughter, Anna, leading the trail of candy-colored girls below, and their sons—the 2 boys taking up the rear—who stole the sand-laden show.

I wish the entire family well and I hope Wendy has rid her Manolo’s of all the sand!

Innermost's Ghost Attends a Texas Wedding

Beth’s recent wedding wasn’t the only affair featuring the stylings of 2JANE. Below is a wedding reception photo from one of our favorite clients, Houston event planner Elizabeth Copeland Swift. In the state where everything bigger is better, the large version of Innermost’s table candelabra, which holds 9 rather than 4 candles, was the perfect centerpiece. Burning bright on a Texas night…

And congratulations to 2JANE co-owner Beth Ferguson on her beautiful nuptials last weekend (May 16). It was a gorgeous affair at the historic Vinoy Hotel in downtown St. Petersburg, FLA. I believe the guest list clocked in somewhere around 200 and most everyone seemed to be from out of town—great to see all of you New Yorkers!

Beth walked down the aisle to a live rendition of ‘Brown-Eyed Girl’. Then, in a lovely outdoor ceremony, Beth and new husband, Taylor, exchanged vows they’d written themselves and managed to elicit both laughter and tears from all of us in attendance. It was a special evening all around…

My 2JANE business partner, Beth Ferguson, exchanged vows with her new hubby, Taylor Garland, on May 16 in St. Pete.
