RabLabs headed by founder Anna Rabinowicz, launched its first collection in August of 2002. This group of objects for the home focuses on the use of natural materials and forms. The crux of the company’s philosophy is to create objects that bring warmth to homes filled with technology and that explore the juxtaposition between natural materials and high-tech manufacturing techniques. According to Anna, “My intention is to bring natural, warm elements into spaces constructed of hard materials – steel, glass, concrete and plastic.
Many of RabLab’s products contain agate, a semi-precious gemstone once used for decoration in Ancient Egypt. In ancient times, agate was thought to possess incredible virtues, protecting its guardians from all dangers, and bringing them pleasant dreams.
Current RabLabs items include coasters, trivets, small plates, large plates, candlesticks and photo frames.
